The Center for Neighborhood Enterprise (CNE) recently announced a grant program to provide technical assistance and/or financial awards of up to $10,000 to faith-based and community-based organizations serving Wards 5, 6, 7, and 8 in Washington, DC.
CNE was chosen to award these funds as an intermediary between DC area nonprofits and the Compassion Capital Fund (CCF) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The goal of CCF is to assist nonprofit faith-based and community-based organizations in increasing their effectiveness, enhancing their ability to provide social services, expanding their organizations, diversifying their funding sources, and creating collaborations to better serve those most in need.
CNE will distribute applications and hold an information/Q&A session on November 30 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm. This will be followed by a special session on "How to Successfully Complete Your Grant Application" from 1:00-3:00 pm. CNE strongly encourages all interested applicants to attend these sessions.
You can find more information on the CNE web site, or you can download an information sheet here.
I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
