Discovery Communications -- the company behind the Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, and other TV networks -- is currently accepting applications for Discovery Impact, a pro bono creative initiative to help charitable organizations with their marketing and communications needs.
All pro bono assistance will take place in a marathon-style 12-hour event on Wednesday, November 9, 2011. Here are examples of projects Discovery staff can help with:
- Public Service Announcement (PSA) video or online video
- online projects like web site design, banner ads, and evite/email design
- PR/media support such as press releases, fact sheets, and media training tips
- social media options including tutorials, page/account setup, and strategy
- print advertising
- marketing strategy
- event concept/strategy
