We are pleased to announce that the Foundation Center now has its first affiliate location in the District. The University of the District of Columbia (UDC), Learning Resources Division has joined our network of Cooperating Collections. Cooperating Collections are libraries and other agencies designated by the Foundation Center to provide free access to a core collection of many of our print and electronic resources. This core collection includes Foundation Directory Online, profiling more than 100,000 U.S. grantmakers, Foundation Grants to Individuals Online, Philanthropy In/Sight, print directories, and proposal writing guides. And, the good news is that UDC is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 am-11:00 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am-6:30 pm!
You are welcome to take advantage of this new resource center, located at 4200 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Building 41 — 5th floor.
Join us for a grand opening reception on Wednesday, February 29 from 4:00-7:00 pm. We will offer our free Proposal Writing Basics class, a tour of the cooperating collection, and a reception with remarks by Terri Lee Freeman, President of the Community Foundation for the National Capital Region.
