During the fall of 2011, the Foundation Center, DC participated in the Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area for the first time. We are very grateful to the federal employees, who chose to support our efforts.
As announced, funds received in the campaign are being used for scholarships for fundraising training. We are delighted to announce that we are able to award three scholarships for our full-day, fee-based seminar, Developing a Fundraising Plan on September 28, 2012.
Over 100 applications were received for these scholarships. We will be participating in the CFC again this fall, and funds raised will support scholarships in 2013. To help us increase our scholarship pool, please let colleagues, friends, and families know that we are participating in the campaign. And, we are anxious to participate in any charity fairs being held at federal facilities throughout the region.
